'(21 Jan 2016) Y-PROJECT PRESENTS NEW MENS FALL/WINTER COLLECTION IN PARIS French fashion house Y-Project unveiled its Menswear Fall/Winter 2016/2017 collection in Paris Wednesday (20 JAN). Presented at the famed punk nightclub Gibus, the eclectic collection featured a mix of different elements and styles, including suiting separates, 70s-inspired denim pieces and graphic T-shirts. \"It\'s really the mix of everything,\" says designer Glenn Martens. \"It\'s really what I think we stand for. I think every season we do it more and more, we reinforce the concept of the brands and the brand is really made for people who live in big cities like Paris, New York, London, who have to be constantly everywhere, have to be everything at the same the time, have to be loving motors, dance, that\'s also party people, because I think we\'re also fighting for this freedom in all these years, we fought for being free, for being able to do whatever we want, and I think that\'s the collection. We just mix whatever we want, we do whatever we want. It\'s totally eclectic.\" Shearling accentuated many of the collection\'s pieces. The material was present in jackets, shirts and culottes. \"We had all the shearling pieces, for example, which are like, shearling, we just cut it in pieces, in stripes, and they stitch on top of jersey, so you get really a kind of furry element. This actually comes from, a guy wearing - I love this - when like you\'re wearing like your grandfather\'s shearling piece, your private piece, which has already been worn forever. It\'s got holes with the fur coming through. It\'s all about this. We really wanted to have this feeling of like even though you\'re wearing your shearling jacket with the leather side, you still have the fur, the hairs coming through, and this goes for example, for a thing like this,\" Martens says. The collection also included a few feminine looks, including a long, moss green velvet dress with cut-outs, and a caramel-colored leather belt worn as a choker. Models often stepped out wearing black motorcycle boots by Italian brand Dainese. \"Who puts like boots from like motorcycles on like a suit?\" Martens says.:It\'s just eclectic and we just like to have fun. We don\'t have no borders.\" Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork Twitter: https://twitter.com/AP_Archive Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/APArchives Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/APNews/ You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/youtube/442c4ef58b3c6e1979ac183aca0416ba'
