'Rihanna, Marianne Faithful attend Stella McCartney fashion show in Paris'

'(3 Mar 2014) RIHANNA SITS FRONT ROW AT STELLA MCCARTNEY SHOW Singer Rihanna sat front row at British designer Stella McCartney\'s Fall 2014 collection at the Paris Opera Garnier on Monday (3 MARCH 2014).  Other stars to attend included British singer and actress Marianne Faithfull, Japanese television personality Christel Takigawa and Chinese actress Zhang Xin Yi. The sporty collection featured the use of tweed and color blocks of rich hues of burnt orange, ivy green, cerulean blue and bold blacks.  Models were wrapped in asymmetrical blankets and carried matching knitted bags in subtler tones of nude and charcoal.  Knits and silks hypnotized with tie-dye motifs and pixilated colors.  McCartney\'s squared-toe shoes with a sustainable wooden platform mixed the British tradition of Derby and Monkstraps, and her Cavendish bag blended colors from the collection with cutout stars. The designer said she wanted to create pieces to help women navigate their journey and move them forward.  \"I really believe that women, we\'re all on a journey every single day. We\'re having to sort of get through and navigate, you know, and for me it\'s, the shoes were more about navigation and thinking OK, we\'ve gone super flat and masculine for our autumn collection and I wanted to move on, and when our woman takes her steps in front of, you know, each step in front of the next, I think the shoe was really about how we went forward, how we took her higher, how we gave her more power, and still kept the masculinity and the tradition, the eco and the sport element,\" explained McCartney. The show ended with the models, including Cara Delevingne, dancing in celebration on the catwalk.
