'Circular Fashion is adopted for the circular economy principles where we take into account the full life cycle of a product. Nothing goes to waste and everything is utilised, repurposed and recycled in the most effective and sustainable manner possible. This video explains what is circular fashion and why it is important to the fashion industry. The video was recorded at the Rediscovery Centre, the National Centre for the Circular Economy, who hosted Ireland’s first Circular Fashion Conference on the 26th of April 2019. This innovative conference brought together designers, suppliers, retailers and makers to discuss how Ireland can move towards fashion circularity. It looked at how the fashion industry can design out waste, pollution and keep materials in use rather then be sent to landfill. Speakers on the day included: Safia Minney, Founder People Tree Dorothy Maxwell, Brown Thomas/Arnotts Carrie Ann Moran, Rediscover Fashion Vikki Brennan, Proudly Made in Africa Jonna Haeggblom, Circular.Fashion Joanne Rourke, EMWR Courtney Smith, Fashion Stylist Aisling Byrne, The Nu Wardrobe'
