'Louis Vuitton owner and French luxury giant, LVMH, is reportedly set to introduce a blockchain authentication solution for its products that will enable its luxury goods to be tracked and authenticated. The project’s code-name for now is ‘AURA’ and according to blockchain news site Coindesk, AURA will launch in May or June 2019; initially for Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior only. If the launch goes ahead and proves to be successful, there is a high chance it will also be rolled out for many of LVMH’s other subsidiaries as well such as: Givenchy, Fendi and Kenzo.
