'DESIGNING A MEDIEVAL DRESS video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4ODSyhCcc4 Instagram (sewing account): https://www.instagram.com/anna_bailey_sewing Etsy (general creative stuff): https://www.etsy.com/shop/stormjungle/ Hi everyone, and welcome to another sewing tutorial! February has finally rolled around - which means it’s the perfect weather for walking through the wintry woods. So in today’s video I’ll be making ... a 14th century medieval gown! This is by no means 100% historically accurate - but as discussed in my previous DESIGNING video for this project, I did try to incorporate at least some design features typical of the 14th century, since I’ve been interested in creating some historical fashion for a while now. I also dyed the fabric for this dress myself, so making it has actually been a much more involved process than usual! (And if you’re interested in seeing the DYEING stage, you can check it out here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHfd3P3zkR0&t=1s) So without further ado, I really hope you enjoy the video! It was a lot of fun to make, so I’m curious to know what you think - and of course, if you have suggestions for more project ideas I’d love to hear them! Have a safe and happy rest of the winter x'
