'Alexander Wang Fall 2016'

'NEW YORK — Saturday afternoon there was word internally that Binx had changed her hair color, at least half of it anyhow. Hours later at the Alexander Wang Fall 2016 runway show staged at Saint Bartholomew’s Church at Park Avenue and 51 Street in Manhattan, the transformation by hair stylist Guido Palau was confirmed. “It looks surfer-y,” said Guido speaking to Vogue about Binx’s bleached ends, which left the roots entirely untouched. Other girls in the lineup sported colorful shocks of hair. The perfectly imperfect dos varied from girl to girl in an effort to emphasize their individuality and presumably belonging to the greater WANGSQUAD. Also featuring on the runway were Odette Pavlova, Lineisy Montero, Katlin Aas, and Alice Glass. As ever with Wang there was a frisson of irreverence, insouciance even, running through the collection that was most manifest in graphic statements (TENDER, STRICT, and GIRLS, etc) emblazoned on nylons and shirts à la Barbara Kruger. Whatever other words were deployed, just like Binx’s hair color, the usage all was somehow new and yet so familiar. Credits include: Client, Alexander Wang; Collection, Women’s Ready-To-Wear Fall 2016; Clothing design, Alexander Wang; Styling, Karl Templer; Hair, Guido Palau; Makeup, Diane Kendal; Casting, Anita Bitton; Video, Damien Neva at Next Management.'
