'(16 Oct 1995) English/Nat One of France\'s top designers has bowed out of the fashion scene by presenting his last ready to wear collection at the famous French Fashion Week. Hubert de Givenchy will now pass on the keys to the shop to British designer Galliano, who has a distinctly different style. In his last show before retiring, Hubert de Givenchy went for the classic look - simple designs in enduring colours. His \'96 spring and summer ready to wear collection was a mixture of creams, blacks, whites and reds with matching stylish hats. The designs as always flattered the female form. Clearly a favourite with the home town crowd, the French designer was warmly applauded by his models at Monday\'s Paris presentation. It was his last romp on the ramp. He\'ll now retire and turn over the reins to British designer Galliano.
