Shop the look at: http://ow.ly/107wpm Paris Fashion Week is the place to see what is going to be big next season and, as well as catwalk shows and parties, Louis Vuitton unveiled its new Blossom jewellery and watch collection, which features the famous Monogram flowers. Here I discovered that colour has arrived in Louis Vuitton’s well-known Monogram jewels. With a new name of Blossom, the glossy red of carnelian stone, the warm brown-striped tones of tiger’s eye, and the allure of grey mother-of-pearl, all add vibrancy to the long sautoirs, stackable skinny bracelets, mismatched earrings and signet-style rings. True to the Maison’s philosophy of easy elegance, all these jewels are easy to wear and can be combined with other pieces or worn on their own. Louis Vuitton earrings are sold as singles, encouraging us to mix it up; the long sautoir-style necklaces hang loose and are just as happy under a blazer as with an evening dress. The rings with either mother-of-pearl petals or diamonds almost beg to be stacked, and the skinny bracelets are perfect to wear alongside your watch or as a happy hoard on the wrist. Even the impressive one-off Louis Vuitton necklaces have a laid-back feel about them, thanks to their bold design and fluid lines that sit close to the skin. The inlays all have a pleasing plumpness about them, which may add to the complexity of production, but it does give both a lovely glossy finish and volume to the jewels. The stones almost ooze out of the highly polished gold mounts, making them highly tactile and pleasing to the touch. The six new Blossom Tambour watches for women are all made at LV’s Fabrique du Temps facility in Geneva and are very much about high-end watchmaking. All these Louis Vuitton watches feature a shimmering, carved mother-of-pearl flower in either pink or blue, which adds charm and playfulness to the sophisticated tourbillon movement or the complex Spin Time mechanism. The flashes of unusual exotic stones in the Blossom collection and the pairing of high-brow mechanics with unashamedly pretty watch dials, shows that Louis Vuitton knows how to make the most luxurious items feel laidback and so very easy to wear.'
