'\"RALPH LAUREN\" Full Show Spring Summer 2015 New York by Fashion Channel  Ralph Lauren closed New York fashion week by giving us “safari chic”.  The designer didn’t miss a beat, or an opportunity, to give each and every hallmark item of expedition attire an elegant upgrade. His multi-pocketed safari jackets came crafted out of a bright colored gazar or reworked into a tasteful suede shirt dress or coat dress. Classic baggy cargo pants were slimmed down into fitted trousers, and a utilitarian jumpsuit would pass muster at a cocktail party, cut as it was out of silk charmeuse. Glinting stones were heaped on the models\' necks, or dripped in jiggling stalactites from their ears. Worn against the khaki that was the base colour of this collection these riches lent them an air of Indiana Jones bearing off the spoils of a successful treasure hunt. The military style was dominant with buttoned shirts with pockets, cargo trousers, and slimline suits. The American designer created an ultra elegant silhouette which combined styles and materials, like khaki trousers worn with masculine assyemetrical tops in an amethyst purple.
