'Givenchy Spring / Summer 2013 Women\'s Runway Show Ready-To-Wear Collection by designer Riccardo Tisci. There\'s an undeniable athletic energy running through Stella McCartney\'s spring-summer 2013 collection. Perhaps, its the sporty dresses, warm-up jackets, or the jogging sweaters done in oversize tailoring. McCartney opted for lighter-than-air fabrics like cotton, silk, and organza that served as building blocks for the collection. Nonetheless, today\'s collection feels easy-to-wear and modern. \"It\'s a conversation between man and woman, between boldness and fragility,\" said Stella McCartney. After collaborating with the British Olympic team, it was evident activewear played a role in McCartney\'s spring 2013 collection. Among the Olympic inspired looks was a white sheath dress with an orange circle on the side, worn beneath a white, sheer silk organza sweatshirt, or the strapless black and white leopard printed jumpsuit with a dropped-crotch, paired with olive green wedges and matching leopard clutch. The suiting came in a bold and daring silhouette, a boxy-cut jacket with structured shoulders is paired with understated fluid trousers. One model came down the runway wearing a white tailored suit featuring an oversized double-breasted jacket with structured shoulders, worn with loose-fitting trousers cropped above the ankle. To close the show, McCartney sent out a sheer organza white dress with contrasting pleated insets in the front, rendered in electric blue. Followed by a sleeveless dress with a sheer inset running through the waist. The silk dress was rendered in a pretty blue and pink marble print. Both looks were equally striking and perfect for the girl on the go. Stella McCartney might be rock royalty, but the clothes she sent down the runway seem effortlessly elegant, approachable, and wearable, which makes it perfect for summer.
