'(26 Sep 2017) DIOR HONORS ARTIST NIKI DE SAINT PHALLE AT PRET A PORTER SHOW A cave with mirrored mosaics was the setting for the Dior Spring Summer 2018 collection Tuesday (26 SEPT. 2017) in Paris\' Musée Rodin, where actress Naomi Watts sat front row along with models Natalia Vodianova, Emily Ratajkowski, Wang Ziwen and Karlie Kloss. The show celebrated French-American painter and sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle, who died in 2002. The idea of women\'s empowerment was reflected in the flashy colors like those used by Niki de Saint Phalle in her famous gigantic sculptures of women, entitled \"Nanas\" - \"girls\". The models flashed beautiful laced and leather dresses with big red hearts on the front. There were polka dots, black and white checks; striped denim and plenty of 1960s-inspired looks. Dior Artistic Director of the womenswear, Maria Grazia Chiuri, intended to pay tribute to all great women artists and to inspire others. As Naomi Watts said after the show, \"I feel like it\'s a very good time for women expressing themselves and there was a lot of wonderful expressions in these wonderful outfits.\" Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork Twitter: https://twitter.com/AP_Archive Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/APArchives Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/APNews/ You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/youtube/6cdfa4aedd61088077cfe5471772cf35'
