'(10 Sep 2014) BOOS, BOOTY DOMINATE FASHION ROCKS CONCERT Fashion and music came together at the annual Fashion Rocks concert in New York, Tuesday night. Music superstars Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj both arrived at the event wearing sexy black outfits. Lopez opted for a dress with a plunging neckline and thigh high split, while Minaj wore a suit jacket-style mini dress. Minaj described her ensemble as something very \"different\" for her. \"I just thought it was really really sexy, but without being tight, and I thought it was different for me,\" she said. \"I kind of feel now that I look more like my regular old self, like what I look like when I\'m at home. I think there\'s just a little bit more confidence and so I\'m like it is was it is, I am who I am, I look like what I look like. I don\'t really have to change much of it anymore,\" she added. Both Minaj and Lopez performed their new singles at the event. Of her performance of the track \"Anaconda,\" Minaj said the audience can expect something very \"sexy.\" \"There\'s going to be a lot of bumping and grinding and it\'s just going to be fun. I\'m going to have fun with my girls. My dancers up there, I love them, we\'re just excited to be here,\" she said. For Lopez, performing at an event which merges music and fashion, is thrilling. \"My first love is music and dance, and I love fashion and playing dress up and all that, (ever) since I was playing with Barbie dolls and cutting up my own clothes back in the Bronx. It\'s a fun thing to do, it\'s like a fantasy. I never take my life for granted, how lucky I am to get to do what I do and play the way I get to play with clothes and music. It\'s just an awesome thing and it\'s great what we are celebrating that tonight - that magical marriage between music and fashion,\" she said. With both Lopez and Minaj being famous for their curvaceous backsides and performing their raunchy songs \"Booty\" and \"Anaconda\" at the show, talk on the red carpet quickly turned to who would win in a battle of the booties. \"I\'m staying out of that. I know they\'ve both got some good booty. So, the battle of the booty, hey, I\'ll let the fans decide. I\'ll let me men decide,\" said country star Luke Bryan. \"The legend J-Lo. Nicki might take over, but it\'s still her to me,\" noted Nico Sereba of Nico and Vinz. MAGIC! frontman Nasri Atweh, didn\'t reveal who he\'s backing, but did share his concern for their safety when busting out their dance moves \"Just don\'t get hurt girls. Your butt cheeks are connected to your muscles, don\'t hurt your thighs, don\'t hurt your core. Stay safe,\" he smiled. Other stars to attend the event included Naomi Campbell, Nick Jonas, Rita Ora and Justin Bieber.
