'Cannes Film festival is one of the most prominent ones out there and getting recognized there is considered as a big achievement. Bollywood (specifically lead actresses like Aishwarya Rai,  Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor ) has reduced it to a platform for fashion show and brand endorsement. This is not healthy for Indian cinema as the actresses are not using any of their influence or clout to help market good quality cinema from India.
