'The height of a realistic human body from the crown to the toes is around eight times the height of the head. For fashion purposes, the body is stretched and elongated to nine head and sometimes ten head sizes (always below the waist only). This elongation is given to make the fashion figure look more stylish and chic.  This is the first and most important step to take when planning to startfashion illustration. It is not required to memorise this figure, but you should understand it andkeep it with you for help at any step while drawing. It gives the base that you will use every time you will draw in future.   1) FIrst of all, draw a vertical line of 8\" 2) Divide the line into 8 parts and mark 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,,7,8 3) 0-1 is the head block. make a 1\" square shape here 4) 1-1.25 is neckline, mark 0.25\" left and 0.25\" right 5) 1.25 to 1.5 is the sloppy part of shoulder, mark 1\" left and 1\" right and joint the line with neck line 6) Third inch is waist point, mark 0.5\" left and 0.5\" right and join it with shoulder line 7) From 3.25\" point, mark 0.75\" left and 0.75\" right.  8) From 4.25\" inch as well we will mark 0.75\" left and 0.75\" right. Then join the point with waist line. 9) From 6\" point, mark 0.5\" left and 0.5\" right kand join them with hip line above 10) From 8\" point, mark 0.25\" left and 0.25\" right and joint them with knee point 11) For hands, make a straight line of 3.5 from both side of shoulder 12) For the chest, we will mark 0.5\" left and 0.5\" right from second inch and will join the with shoulder line.
