'Mildred’s Old-Fashioned Pound Cake – Help at Home I came across this authentic old-fashioned pound cake recipe, quite by accident.  One of my subscribers and friend suggested that I try out the recipe.  I did, and discovered that it is a super delicious, moist, flavorful pound cake that can be flavored in a number of ways.  If fact, I also discovered that it seems to get better with age; the second day it had a little more flavor and so on.  It is the opposite of today’s pound cakes that can be dry like sawdust and about as tasty.  This is one Pound Cake you can just sit and break into cubes and eat like a snack.  It’s great alone or with whipped cream and berries.  I hope you enjoy this as much as we have.
