'A remarkable piece of Clara’s history, a dress which actually belonged to her, is now on display at Red Cross headquarters in Washington, D.C. Clara’s dress – which was designed to convey respectability and gravitas – was worn by Clara most likely when she was meeting with members of the U.S. Congress, military generals or giving speeches.
