'MusiCouture: The Gallatin Fashion Show 2013'

'www.facebook.com/TheGallatinFashionShow  Gallatin fashion designers made music their muse this year.  On February 20th, 2013, twelve students and alumni staged original collections in a spectacular event, MusiCouture: The Gallatin Fashion Show, the follow up to last year\'s phenomenal SexPosed: The Gallatin Fashion Show.  Fashion designers and musicians are cultural omnivores, weaving together threads from high and low culture, from the present and the past, to create something new and extraordinary. They also inspire each other, and these collections explore that cross-pollination, from designs that reflect the grace and strength of the Paris ballet to clothing that embodies a mash-up between punk and classical music.  The evening also featured a live DJ and other exciting surprises.  Now in its third year, the Gallatin Fashion Show has grown into a showcase event for the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
