'It was a brisk and beautiful day in Houston, Texas, when my absolute favorite designer Oscar de la Renta and the wonderful team - Sara, Olivia and Hayley flew in from New York, along with an amazing selection of dresses, gowns and jewelry to create a private luxury shopping experience for the benefit of the Houston American Heart Association (AHA). Although we were delayed by a day due to the weather and transit issues of the ODLR trunks, we had a fabulous afternoon shopping for a cause. This video gives you a quick inside look at the exclusive event. The AHA holds a special place in my \"heart\" and I could not have been more excited to host ODLR in my home for this special event. The funds raised will support the mission of AHA which follows: The American Heart Association is committed to fighting heart disease and stroke and raising awareness of these diseases. As part of our mission, we focus on specific causes designed to help people achieve a heart-healthy lifestyle Bringing awareness to AHA both locally and nationally is one of the keys to its growth and success. Many are not aware that heart disease is the number one killer of women in the US. About 1 in every 5 female deaths are linked to heart disease. Think about that fact! Now that you know, let\'s do something about it. Take the time, to: (i) learn the signs of a heart attack or stroke (ii) make heart healthy choices when eating (iii) engage in exercise activities on a regular basis (iv) visit your doctor and get a regular check-up These are just a few simple steps, that can save your life or someone you LOVE!!
