'(2 May 1995) English/Nat  Oscar De La Renta, the internationally renowned fashion designer, has held Israel\'s  largest and most costly fashion show ever.   The unique show took place in the unusual location of a plane hangar at the Ben-Gurion  International Airport last night (Monday).    This was the first time the flamboyant designer Oscar De La Renta had showed off his  collection in Israel.  A host of Israeli personalities were on hand at the event which was held to raise funds  for the children and urological (Urological?)departments of the Tel Hashomer Hospital.   De la Renta was invited to Israel by the personal invitation of Mrs. Lea Rabin, wife of  Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin.  The invitation came as part of the general festivities leading up to the anniversary of  Israel\'s Day of Independence which will take place on Thursday,  4 May 1995.   SOUNDBITE:  \"I have always been a great admirer of Israel and so, when I was invited to come and do  the show to benefit Tel Hashomer, I thought it was a wonderful opportunity and I\'m really  happy to be here.\"  SUPER CAPTION: Oscar de La Renta, designer  Queen Nor of Jordan, the American born wife of King Hussein also received a personal  invitation from De La Renta, who claims to be a close friend.   Tickets for the event cost approximately $170 and organisers said that almost all of the  one thousand tickets were sold.
